I just finished doing the budget and I'm basically done with the computer for the night. But! I wanted to show you Jack's new haircut. Andrew took him to get it cut on Saturday, and Jack wanted to go to the barber with the boys instead of the salon they've been going to the past few times. Their barber retired, though, so they went to a new guy who, it would appear, has a fondness for clippers:
Yup. He may as well be bald, because his scalp is quite visible through is baby fine hair, a problem that was masked by the little length he used to have. Ah, well. It will grow back. And also, he doesn't look quite that forlorn as a regular thing. Witness:
Jack also likes to take photos with my new camera, and I very much enjoy seeing the world through his eyes. I had no idea I was so tall! But I had to share this series with you. It's best if you flip through them fast.
And, lastly, I wouldn't want Nora to be left out. Have you ever seen a smile this wide? I mean, truly?
whispering> Maybe she's so happy because she's sleeping more. </whispering>

Ryan and I are CRACKING UP about the walking pictures! So funny and cute.
Oh! That HAIR! Jake has that same hair and it is a MARITAL CHALLENGE in this house. Christopher, my 3 year old, has thick dark hair. Our hair girl uses the clippers on him all the time and he always looks so cute. Like curious George. Really. Like curious george. Anyway. When Tim took the boys right before Christmas he said, "I'll tell Patty to use the clippers." OH NO YOU WON'T. I explained to him how Jake just doesn't have enough hair yet and how it's too fine and blah blah blah just give him a little trim to get the wisps up from over his ears.
So off they went. Upon their return, Chris walked into the house very UN-Curious George looking. And Jake? Walked in the house NEARLY BALD. Scalp showing. Thin, blonde hair, barely visible. I was IRATE. And, okay, I cried. When I questioned Tim on why Christopher had so much hair, he says, "you said not to use the clippers on him." UM...WHA"???? My poor husband who has been taking C to get his hair cut for THREE YEARS now with the clippers every time honestly thought that OUT OF THE BLUE I'd say no to the clippers? And that our little Jake who hardly has three strands of hair SHOULD get the clippers?!?!? UGH.
As you can see, I'm still not quite over it.
